Hi there! Today, I'm excited to share my latest creation with you - a fun, square-shaped shaker birthday card using stencils and dies from Pretty Pink Posh! If you're anything like me and adore the PPP layered stencils, then you're going to absolutely love the Layered Birthday Cakes Stencils.
To create this card, I started with a 5" square white cardstock and used Gina K Amalgam Ink in Warm Glow to ink through the A layer of the stencils. For the B layer, I opted for vibrant shades of Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, and Twisted Citron, while for the C layer, I chose a delicate Spun Sugar. Lastly, I used Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink for the final layer. I specifically picked these colors to match the Birthday Cake Clay Confetti, which adds a playful touch to the design.
To create the shaker element, I cut a square frame using square dies, added a sheet of acetate, and surrounded the frame with foam tape. I then arranged the clay confetti in the center of the card panel and carefully closed the shaker by removing the backing of the foam tape.
To complete the card, I cut the Make a Wish Script in pink cardstock and adhered it to the acetate. Finally, I glued the card panel onto a 5" square card base. Voila - my shaker card is complete!
I hope you've enjoyed seeing my latest creation and that it has inspired you to create your own shaker card using these fabulous new PPP stencils. Thank you for stopping by - happy crafting!
