Hello, crafty friends! I am honored to guest design for Mama Elephant's 8th anniversary. Happy anniversary, Mama Elephant! Today I have a few cards to share with you, using Mama Elephant stamp sets and dies - Oh Penguin Tree and Let it Snow. I just love how adorable these new stamps are and I had such a blast making cards for the upcoming holiday season. Only 98 more days until Christmas, folks!

For the first card, I stamped, colored, and die cut the Oh Penguin Tree stamp onto Neenah  110lb white cardstock and then cut with the coordinating die. I used copic markers to color in the super cute penguins and other elements. As always, I wanted to make a box card, but because of the large size of the stamp, I used the Display a Card creative cuts instead.

I used Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass distress oxides for the background of the card. I also did an emboss resist technique using the smaller snowflake stamps in white. To add interest, I splattered with gold acrylic paint. And lastly, I stamped the "Sending warm wishes all winter long" sentiment and adhered the penguin tree stamp.

The next card is a slimline card using the Oh Penguin Tree stamp and coordinating dies, once again. I just couldn't stop playing with this set. For the base of this card, I die cut two of the scallop die from the Slim Window Dressing creative cuts. I scored one of them at 1/4 inch on the vertical side and glued the other panel to create a shaped card. I then cut a smaller rectangle and did a resist emboss technique using the snowflake dies and distress oxides in Tumbled Glass and Milled Lavender. I used my sewing machine to add interest around the inked panel. Next, I splattered with white and gold acrylic paint, stamped the sentiment, and foam mounted the penguin tree. I love how easy it is to create cards with this stamp set!

Slimline cards are very popular right now and I am having so much fun making them. I decided to make another slimline card, this time combining stamps from the Oh Penguin Tree and Let it Snow stamp sets.

For this card, I cut three of the scallop die from the Slim Film City creative cuts. I used the same technique mentioned above to make a shaped card. I then took the extra scallop panel and used the Hillside Cover creative cuts to create the snowbanks. I used the "Let it snow" and "Tis the season to be freezin'" sentiments, using the emboss resist technique. I then used Picked Raspberry distress oxide ink for the sky and Tumbled Glass for the snowbanks. Next, I stamped, copic colored, and cut the images with their coordinating die cuts. Lastly, I adhered the stamped elements to create an adorable winter scene.

Last but not the least, I made a box card using the 3D Pop Up Card creative cuts and the super duper adorable snowmen and penguin that I stamped, colored, and cut twice. I just couldn't seem to put these new stamps away!

For this card, I assembled the box as directed. I cut the panels and inserts, and inked with Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac distress oxide inks. I then added splatters of white and gold acrylic paint. The stamped elements are colored with copic markers and cut with their coordinating dies. I also cut the "Let it Snow" sentiment die in gold glitter cardstock and adhered onto the front panel of the card. Lastly, I adhered the images to create a fun winterscape.

I hope you like my cards and are inspired to create with the new Mama Elephant Oh Penguin Tree and Let it Snow stamp sets!

Pretty Pink Posh February 2023 Release Blog Hop

Hello friends! Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh February 2023 Release Blog Hop and happy  9th birthday, PPP!  Today, I’m sharing a birthday card and a gift card holder that I made using dies and stencils from the new Birthday Release.  For my card, I started with an A2-sized white cardstock that I ink blended with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink. I sprayed some water for an oxidized effect and also splattered some white ink on it. I then took a scrap of white cardstock and used finger daubers to ink blend Distress Oxide Inks in rainbow colors. I used Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Lucky Clover, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet. I sprayed water, splattered white ink, and cut the rainbow colored panel with the WISH die. I also cut the flame from the Birthday Mug Addition Dies and ink blended it with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink.  Next, I stamped the sentiments with black ink then foam mounted WISH and the flame on the card panel. I also added some pearls for inter

Hello friends! Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh February 2023 Release Blog Hop! For my card, I started with a 4.5” square white cardstock and I ink blended through the Layered Carrots Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks.  Layer A: Dried Marigold Layer B: Spiced Marmalade Layer C: Twisted Citron I then matted this stenciled panel on a 5” square cardstock that I ink blended with Spiced Marmalade. For added interest, I sprayed this larger panel with water that has a bit of white ink.  Next, I cut the dies from the Winter Mug Dies and the new Easter Mug Additions Dies in white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers and Distress Oxide Inks. The blue bunny mug also got a print from the Mini Grid Stencil . Before foam mounting the mug, I placed a sheet of vellum to soften the carrot background and I also stamped the sentiment onto the vellum with Stazon ink.  Here are the Copic markers I used for the mini eggs: BG70, R00, V000, Y11, YG61, YR000 I embellished the card with Pi
