Hello, friends!
I have another project to share with you all. I have made a mini album using A2-sized envelopes. This was so much fun to put together. I love how colorful this turned out! I have to say a special thank you to my friend Kristianne for sending me some of her Horizon handmade embellishments. She makes the most beautiful embellishments and she totally spoiled me with these goodies! You guys have to follow her on Instagram and YouTube!
To make this album, I first created 8 A2 (4.25" x 5.5") envelopes using the Martha Stewart scoring board. Once assembled, I took the first envelope and adhered the back of the 2nd envelope's flap inside the first envelope. Next, I glued the 3rd envelope's flap inside the 2nd one... repeat until you have inserted and glued down all 7 flaps. I know, this sounds all confusing, so here is a link to a tutorial that I found on YouTube. There will be one flap leftover at the end, which is the flap from the first envelope. I wrapped that around the whole book to create the spine. Instead of adhering the flap to the last envelope, I have decided to make the album look like a little clutch and added an elastic to keep it closed.
This album will be a gift for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. She is always asking me to print out photos for her, so I've made her this album with lots of family photos. The first envelope even stores a Mother's Day card.
